Brentwood Volunteer Fire Company

In 2004, the Brentwood, Mount Rainier, and Cottage City Volunteer Fire Departments consolidated their equipment into Bunker Hill Station located on Rhode Island Ave within Brentwood.  This station now serves the five communities:  North Brentwood, Brentwood, Mount Rainier, Colmar Manor, and Cottage City.  The Brentwood Volunteer Fire Department was organized in 1922 with 35 charter members and an old horse-drawn hook and ladder.  Ever since, they have provided the Town with dedicated fire s
uppression and medical support.

Ladies Auxiliary

Supports the fire department through fund raising efforts.  Also provides food and services to firemen during long-term engagements.

 Senior Citizens Group

In 1969, this group started as an official senior club for social discussion.  Although the official club has since been issolved, the local seniors still meet regularly on the first and third Wednesday of each month in the common room of the Brentwood Town Hall.
